Lemon Garlic Tilapia with Steamed Broccoli

Ingredients

  • 2 tilapia fillets
  • 1 head of broccoli, cut into florets
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine the olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, and pepper to create a marinade.
  2. Place the tilapia fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Let them marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  3. While the tilapia is marinating, bring a pot of water to a boil and steam the broccoli florets for about 5-7 minutes or until tender but still bright green.
  4. Preheat a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the marinated tilapia fillets to the skillet.
  5. Cook the tilapia for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until it is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  6. Remove the tilapia from the skillet and serve alongside the steamed broccoli.
  7. Drizzle any remaining marinade over the dish for added flavor, if desired.
