Lemon Garlic Tilapia with Steamed Broccoli
Ingredients
- 2 tilapia fillets
- 1 head of broccoli, cut into florets
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Juice of 1 lemon
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- In a small bowl, combine the olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, and pepper to create a marinade.
- Place the tilapia fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Let them marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- While the tilapia is marinating, bring a pot of water to a boil and steam the broccoli florets for about 5-7 minutes or until tender but still bright green.
- Preheat a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the marinated tilapia fillets to the skillet.
- Cook the tilapia for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until it is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
- Remove the tilapia from the skillet and serve alongside the steamed broccoli.
- Drizzle any remaining marinade over the dish for added flavor, if desired.
